What is Dementia?

Dementia is a disease that is caused by the death nerve cells in the brain. These cells can die from a serious head injury; but mainly due to lack of cognitive activity inside the brain.Cognitive activity can be defined as activities done that cause your brain to think using intuition and reasoning.  The nerve cells in the brain are also known as Neurons. Once these neurons die there is no replacing them. There is no surgery one can undergo or medication that can ensure this disease to halt. With no method of ensuring the disease to end, someone who has had history of this disease in their family can live in fear. But cognitive activity has been proven to be most effective in preventing dementia, and the cognitive activity that is best for prevention is dancing.
